Become a research partner

Be a part of employee voice and engagement

The IPA produces a number of research papers each year on a range of topics relating to employment relations. Examples of recent papers can be found here. We also host a number of events each year with high profile speakers to discuss important policy issues relating to employee voice and engagement.

To produce these papers and events we rely on the support of corporate sponsors and academic research partners, who in turn benefit from the IPA’s brand, network and team of experienced qualitative and quantitative researchers. We also are regularly looking for organisations willing to act as case studies for our research, in exchange for which they receive written reports to analyse their own employment relations and, if desired, positive publicity from acting as a public example of good practice.

Anyone interested in learning more about the IPA’s research agenda or what opportunities to partner with us might be available and what that might entail should contact IPA Head of Policy & Research Patrick Brione.

The IPA’s current research and policy agenda is focused around the following priorities:

  • Technology and automation
  • Well-being and the need for ‘good work’
  • Atypical working and the ‘gig economy’
  • Brexit and organisational resilience during uncertainty
  • The role of voice in a modern industrial strategy
  • Employee voice in corporate governance
  • The importance of engagement in recruitment and retention
