In January’s hub event we discussed how the UK is experiencing serious staff shortages in many parts of the labour market which may increase the potential bargaining power of the employees in these sectors for higher pay and better conditions. We also discussed the power balance between employees and employers and how it is shifting against the backdrop of the growing challenge of recruiting and retaining staff.
